Carasig, D’Pirates bag awards in IBG Friday Bowling League

On the 22nd week of the hotly contested IBG Friday Bowling League 2nd Conference sponsored by Hala Int’l Mabuhay Mobily in partnership with Globe, veteran Andy Carasig of the Roll and Bowl clinched the Best Bowler of the Week award.
Sharing the stage with Carasig were D’Pirates who won back-to-back Best Team of the Week honors at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
Carasig posted the high series series of 887 to power Roll and Bowl a 20-18 upset of Itqan Tenpin Wizards. Carasig, with a 20 handicap per game, shot games of 199, 221, 197 and 190. Archie Oliva and team mentor Ernie Tulang added an identical series of 843 at Roll and Bowl with Bobby Jamora and Butch Espinosa scoring 773 and 709 points respectively.
Zaldy Torres and Jett Cabana shone at Tenpin Wizards by tallying 923 and 804. Ruben Babasa had 765 points while Butch Mateo sealed scored 763. Perfect 300 game achiever, Ric Urrutia Jr., toppled 610 series in three games while Gigi Enriquez had 178.
League leader D’Pirates of Edwin Atienza proved too strong to dismantle Great Balls of Fire by recording a perfect 26 points. At the limelight were Bembol Velasco (862), Andro Tismo (861), Fareed Aquino (859), Celis Viloria (832) and Johnny Penecilla (737).
Danny Trinidad hit 795 points to lead Great Balls of Fire and coming in next to him was Jojo Miraflor with 743 points. Ely Fanugao was next to Miraflor with 722 points while Ed Cruz had 717 points.
SABB Strikers recorded sweet victory against Pinbusters 24-12 thanks to Freddie Solomon ((832), Resty de Jesus (828), Ahmed Al-Qarqoush (752), Clem Salazar (731), Noel Morales (580) and Allan John Ofreneo (334).
Taking charge at Pinbusters were Fhel Ramos (850), Fathi Abdulaziz (828), Hani Al-Nasleh (751), Boy Mirando (710) and Marvin Arocena (685).
Other results: Itqan Tenpin Wizards beat NBA 24-10, Air21 beat Bankrun 23-0, Magnificent 5 beat Xperts 19-17, Salyng Kits beat SACO 17-15.
