After receiving 5,000 visitors in one week, the career festival being held at Haifa Mall is quickly becoming the area youth’s foremost destination for entertainment and learning.
The career festival was organized by the Vocational Training and Technical Institute in Makkah, in cooperation with the Technical Council for the development of the youth under the supervision of Makkah governorate during summer vacation at different malls in the city.
Rashid bin Mohammed Al Zahrani, Makkah chairman of the Technical and Vocational Training Council in Makkah said they formed this initiative as part of the summer festival to provide a better choice of productive activities during this summer’s vacation.
Walid Felemban, supervisor of the career festival, said they organized the festival to provide productive events and activities for the youth this summer.
“We received almost 5000 visitors, most of which were youth and families, but because of the death of Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz (Allah bless him) we closed the program. We have now started up at Haifa Mall,” said Felemban.
“This initiative is to promote the concept of professional culture and for the dissemination of professional awareness by providing different programs, competitions and technical information as well as using entertainment to showcase technical training shows by professionals with a focus on national, social, educational and professional goals,” he said.
Felemban added that they are taking initiatives to open additional festivals in other malls throughout the city that will include awareness on professionalism along with paintings, drawings and patriotism focusing on Saudi Arabia’s development.
“This is a program of utmost importance aimed at changing the concept of professionalism and social interaction while focusing on national and educational goals,” he said.
