According to a study published in journal science, China’s one child policy is creating less competitive, more risk-averse and significantly more pessimistic kids than those born before the policy was implemented in 1979.
Children are a blessing; sadly countries like China, India, disregard this blessing in the name of population and growth of nation. Various birth-control policies were introduced in these counties to curb the population growth.
Agreed that there exist demerits of big families but the merit list is even longer and valuable. Time has proved this fact.
Due to the high-population, India and China are considered the superpowers of tomorrow. They have an excellent next-generation who is their assets not liability. It’s time they mend their policy before it’s too late. — Tasneem Ataullah, Jubail
