Consulate staff asked to provide relief to Pakistanis

JEDDAH: The Pakistani consul general has urged consulate officers and staff to work diligently to provide optimum relief to the Pakistani community living in Saudi Arabia’s western region. He also expressed satisfaction over the Ramadan Relief Operation, which successfully concluded the other day.
Abdul Salik Khan was speaking at the award ceremony held in the consulate to honor the members of five committees that had looked after the relief operation for the whole month of Ramadan.
Over 90,000 Umrah pilgrims visited Saudi Arabia from Pakistan during Ramadan this year and 678 approached the consulate’s camp office in Makkah for redressal of different problems that were promptly addressed, Vice Consul for Welfare Mazhar Kakakhel said during a presentation at the ceremony.
Giving details, he said that officials from all wings of the consulate were part of the committees, who performed these additional duties as a team for the Ramadan Relief Operation that started on the first day of Ramadan and continued for 40 days.
At the end, the consul general distributed certificates among the members of the Ramadan operation committees: Umar Farooq, Nasrullah Jan, Muhammad Noorul Ain, Manzoor Ahmed Jalbani, Sohail Ahmed, Muhammad Akram, Shahid Jamal, Syed Zahid Hussain, Muhammad Ismail, Anas Khalil Madni, Muhammad Saleh, Arshad Ali Ch., Mukhtar Ahmed, Muddasar Abass, Ali Mardan, Salman Arrain, Ashfaq Ahmed, Tariq, Aleem Khan, Masroor Elahi, Humayyun Taqqi, Muhammad Nawaz, Syed Tahseemul Haq Haqqi. The vice consul for welfare was also given an Award of Excellence.
