The four-day Machinex Arabia 2013, the 3rd international exhibition for heavy machinery and equipment concurrently organized with the complimentary Propac Arabia Exhibition, Saudi Arabia’s 18th international event for production & processing, printing & packaging, plastic and chemicals which held at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events, concluded on Feb. 21. Over 150 exhibitors from 30 countries and 10,000 visitors participated.
The exhibition which was sponsored by MODON, Saudi Industrial Machinery Company Ltd (SIMCO) and Alruquee Group, attracted a massive number of manufacturers and suppliers from the world’s leading brands and showcased the latest cutting-edge construction machinery, equipment, systems and materials.
Many exhibitors received positive response with deals being made.
Eng. Maher Yousef, assistant general manager of Saudi Industrial Machinery Co. (SIMCO), said: “We are delighted with the response. The strong turnout of the specialized visitors to the show has demonstrated that buyers in Saudi Arabia still remain upbeat about the potential of the industrial market. We succeeded to make new deals and agreements during the four-day exhibition and we sold around SR 8 million worth of new machines and equipment.”
Another satisfied exhibitor is Saad Alikhan, executive director of Alruquee group. He said: “We benefited greatly from our participation at Machinex Arabia 2013 as it had a targeted audience and enabled us to feel the pulse of the industry. The vast majority of the visitors are serious buyers and we are extremely happy with the business opportunities gained from this show.”
The new advanced machines and products displayed during the show has attracted great attention from many visitors, Eng. Mohsen Basfr who came to visit the exhibition to search for new machines for his small factory said. “I have found what I am looking for and got great feedback from those international experts in order to grow my business.”
Zahoor Siddique, vice president of Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions, described the exhibition as a success event by creating exciting opportunities to expand business contacts in KSA, and explore new deals and investment opportunities.”
