Oman’s national airline impresses Open Minds VIPs

The impact made by the recent Open Minds event in Muscat is expected to be profound, but the impact that Oman and Oman Air have made on the event’s international VIP speakers has been equally as dramatic.
Open Minds was held in Muscat on Sept. 3 and 4 and brought some of the world’s most inspirational thinkers to Oman, with the aim of inspiring, informing and motivating delegates.
One of Open Minds’ most prestigious guests was best-selling author Lord Jeffrey Archer, who flew in from London. He said: “Oman Air provided a very good service. The crew was excellent, caring and unobtrusive, and the Business Class seats were superb. Oman itself is truly beautiful.”
The seats referred to by Lord Archer were named as the best in the world at the Skytrax World Airline Awards in 2011 and 2012, and Oman Air was named as the Best Business Class Airline — Middle East at the World Travel Awards 2014.
Singer and songwriter Sami Yusuf, who also spoke at Open Minds, said: “My choice is always Oman Air when I have to fly to Oman. I love the service.”
Telecoms entrepreneur Candace Johnson said: “I am very happy with Oman Air. My flight was on time, and offered a good service. I really liked it. I also loved Oman.”
Travel publishing tycoon and founder of Lonely Planet arrived in Muscat by alternative means, but was looking forward to his flight home with Oman Air.
