Ramadan is the month of blessings and Muslims in this month try to receive as much blessings from Allah as they can.
Giving iftar is also special in which Muslims take part with such a spirit. The International Islamic Relief Organization-Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) with the cooperation of Panorama FM radio organizes a grand iftar every day throughout Ramadan.
Mohammed Khoja, the supervisor of the campaign in the major cities of the Kingdom, said more than 15 volunteers in each city stand on the streets of Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Alkhobar every day from 6 p.m. until Maghreb prayer to give out hundreds of iftar meals to the poor and people stranded on the roads at iftar time.
He also said that every day they stand at different locations.
Adnan bin Khalil Basha, secretary-general of IIROSA, said the organization conducts this campaign every year with the aim of spreading the spirit of Ramadan and such acts of charity have a dramatic impact in the hearts of Muslims and the development of the spirit of cooperation and love for others.
Basha also said through this campaign they also want to spread the culture of voluntarism and philanthropy. “It aims to highlight the good deeds and volunteering, to earn a reward in the holy month, through the provision of a new idea,” Basha said. “Giving food to the people who are fasting at the time of breaking the fast reflects the spirit of Ramadan.”
Panorama FM radio is also presenting religious programs throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
