ABU DHABI: Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone says he is “not concerned” about Bahrain once again hosting a Formula One race despite the ongoing clashes between security forces and anti-government protesters.
Ecclestone also seemed to put a damper on prospects of a return of the French Grand Prix to the schedule as a replacement for the canceled New Jersey race. Asked about it Friday, he only would say “who knows, everything is possible with me, you know that.” The Bahrain Grand Prix went on this year without violence at the race, although it was a public relations problem for F1. Violence rocked the streets of Manama, causing death and injury during the race weekend, created a disturbing background for the event.
