Saudi American Glass (SAG), a major processor of architectural high-performance flat glass in Middle East, part of Glass LLC and a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC, has announced new projects valued in excess of SR70 million across the Kingdom, "reinforcing its reputation as the premier glass processing company in the country.”
The new projects include Tharawat Al Mashaer Development in Makkah, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre, Renal Failure Center in Riyadh, Al-Obeikan & Elegance Towers, Al-Rajhi Hotel, General Audit Bureau HQ in Riyadh, new commercial towers in Makkah, Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Alkhobar, a 5-star hotel in Jeddah, as well as universities in Madinah, Dammam, Najran, Jazan, Hail, Tabuk and Qassim.
Over 130,000 sqm of SAG’s K-Lite high performance glass in various colors are being used in these projects. The K-Lite high performance glass offers high strength resistance against stress and wind flex, and also offers protection in the case of breakage.
Rizwanullah Khan, executive president of SAG, said: “Over the years, Saudi American Glass has won an excellent portfolio of projects, which has cemented its credibility as a trusted supplier of top-quality glass products in the region. Saudi Arabia is a key growth market and the company’s reputation for quality and service helps it maintain a high demand for its exclusive products.”
In a step that is set to further leverage its market leadership, SAG has recently finalized an agreement with the UK-based Smartglass International to become its exclusive Middle East partner for privacy switchable and electronically tintable glasses. The technology allows instant privacy at the flick of a switch.
The innovative product, which is currently enhancing environments in more than 33 countries across six continents, has a huge latent demand — particularly in health care and hotel projects in the Kingdom.
