JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s inflation last month edged down to 2.3 percent (year-on-year) from 2.4 percent in October, according to official data. The figure was 2.5 percent in Nov. 2014.
Prices of housing and utilities rose 4.4 percent from a year earlier; food and beverage prices climbed 0.8 percent. The Central Department of Statistics released these November consumer price data.
Earlier, a report from Jadwa Research stated that Saudi inflation reached 2.4 percent in October.
Housing inflation was again the main force behind this rise as it accelerated to 4.4 percent, the report added.
