EFS XI beat SEDCO XI 3-0 in a keenly contested final to win the second in house soccer tournament of Jeddah Sports Academy. Captain Nabeel Hyder, Sahal Saheer and Adil Ashraf were the scorers. Sahal Saheer was named player of the tournament while Anas Basheer was the most promising player.
Marwan Saleem was declared the best goalkeeper, Nadeem Sudhir best defender, Nabeel Hyder best midfielder, Rashad Abdullatif best striker, Adil Ahmed, Basil Basheer and Fawaz Ismail top scorers (6 goals each), and Mazin Saleem and Basil Nazar best players of the final.
SIFF President Hifsu Rahman presented the trophy to the winners. He also unveiled the in house magazine.
TAMER XI lifted the exhibition match trophy.
B.W Park, managing director of United Yusuf M. Naghi Co. Ltd. — LG Electronics in Saudi Arabia, was the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
Park praised JSC Academy for giving the young boys an opportunity to unleash their energy and display their in-born soccer talents. Khaled Al-Tayyab (General Manager APSCO / MOBIL1), Najeeb Kalappadan, managing director EFS Logistics, Abdussalam K.P, former SIFF president and managing director of Alpha Cargo Services were present. JSC Chairman Kannur Abdul Rafeeq welcomed the guests.
