Elaf Group of Companies for Travel, Tourism and Hotels, has signed a strategic contract to accommodate 6,000 pilgrims from Egypt during the 1433 Haj season at the Elaf Al-Multaqa Hotel, Makkah.
The move is likely to boost cooperation with the Egyptian market.
It also follows recent industry reports which expect this year’s Haj season to gain larger momentum as travel and tourism agencies ensure compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Haj.
Ziyad bin Mafhouz, chairman of the group, and Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Attar of the Interior Ministry, signed the contract in the presence of Mohammed Effat, vice-president, and Ahmed Abdullah, sales and marketing manager, Elaf Group.
Bin Mafhouz stressed on the need to use all available resources to reinforce relations with neighboring countries and Egypt in particular, as well as to meet all the needs of pilgrims and Umrah performers.
“Our development-oriented moves aim to provide better and value-added services to guests,” he said.
During the event, Bin Mahfouz also touched on Elaf’s upcoming projects, namely
Elaf Bakkah Hotel, set to offer up to 835 rooms.
