The Philippine Embassy on Wheels (EOW) rendered services to 467 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) last weekend at the Al-Jazeera International Philippine School in Alkhobar.
The team was able to process 391 electronic passport applications and 224 documents for notarization, 24 reports for birth, one lost passport application, one travel document and 37 passport extensions.
Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago said the embassy would add another encoder in the passport counter to accommodate an additional 54 passport renewal slots daily to cope with the high demand.
With the addition of another encoder – a machine that processes passport applications – the embassy would be able to accommodate 270 passport applications daily instead of 216 with two encoders.
An appointment schedule for passport applications can be obtained through the embassy’s website www.philembassy-riyadh.org. The online system allows the passport applicant to choose the date and time of their preferred appointment.
