Ericsson has announced its participation in Arab Advisors Group's ninth Convergence Summit. Held with the support of Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, president of El Hassan Science City and the Royal Scientific Society, the event will take place from May 22-23 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman, Jordan.
At the event, Anders Lindblad, president and Head of Region Middle East, will lead a discussion on the need for innovation together with key leaders in the telecom industry around the region. The dialogue will also tackle the role of media, broadband and the overall telecommunication industry in building a networked society. The open session will also highlight the opportunities and challenges that are facing the industry such as business and organic growth, mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic alliances.
Topics such as convergent media and communications trends, online and social media will be highlighted at the event by Ericsson's speakers. A dedicated session on the rise in demand for cloud-based services as well as strategies for broadcast will be presented by Tarek Saadi, president and head of Ericsson North Middle East.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Arab Advisors and participate at this prestigious conference for the 5 consecutive year," said Saadi. "The Convergence Summit presents us with an opportunity to share our Networked Society vision with key industry players and leaders. Such events give us the chance to continue the dialogue that we have started earlier last year to discuss how we can together, with all the key players in the industry, overcome all the challenges, share updates and progress that we have all taken to reach the region's Networked Society."
The conference will feature visionary speakers from leading industry players in addition to operator and broadcaster presentations and interactive and dynamic panel discussions.
