Ewaan Global Residential Company has signed a contract worth SR 63 million with ABB Saudi Arabia to build a 110/13.8 kv substation to generate power for the SR 1.2 billion Alfareeda residential project.
This is being developed by Ewaan in the north of Jeddah.

Al-Mutawae expressed his great satisfaction at the cooperation with ABB Saudi Arabia, which is renowned for its precision in executing electro-feeding projects, and stated that the substation will provide all the electrical power required to meet the needs of the Alfareeda project.
He added: "Given the Kingdom's high temperatures for most of the year, reliability of the power supply is of the utmost importance and we will draw on ABB's long experience and in-depth expertise in the Saudi market to ensure maximum efficiency in delivery and performance."
Al-Mutawae said the signing of this contract is a major step forward and puts the project on target according to the scheduled phasing.
Ahmed Al-Hares said: "We are very pleased at partnering with Ewaan to provide the power supply for Alfareeda residential project which is going to be done in accordance with the highest international standards and with every respect for the environment and the architectural integrity of the project."
