Minister of Labor Adel Fakeih expressed appreciation over the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (RCCI) efforts to qualify and prepare young Saudis for the local labor market.
Fakeih was addressing the graduation ceremony of the 19th batch of 193 Saudi young graduates who completed specialized and vocational programs provided by the RCCI.
He said the graduates represent the fruits of success of the nationalization plan to secure employment for Saudis in private firms.
He said the Nitaqat Saudization program has realized a number of its goals.
RCCI board chairman Abdulrahman Al-Jeraisi said the chamber had successfully qualified more than 41,500 trainees through 3,155 courses since the program’s inception in 2001. The RCCI employment center also succeeded in finding work for 12,868 job seekers, he said. RCCI Assistant Secretary-General for Technical Affairs Shihab Al-Suwailim said the RCCI is proud of the fact that 95 percent of the chamber’s training programs are being initiated and carried out by Saudi trainers.
