JEDDAH: A student of King Abdul Aziz Military Academy in Riyadh died and nine others injured, one of them seriously, when a hand grenade exploded while the students were on a training session, a Defense Ministry source said yesterday.
“The fatal accident took place at 11.15 a.m. on Tuesday,” the ministry said, adding that the injured were the academy’s cadets and a trainer. “A committee has been formed to probe the reason for the accident,” it added.
