Minister of Culture and Information and Chairman of the Gulf Radio and TV Corporation Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja yesterday signed a contract with a national company for the construction of the corporation’s permanent headquarters.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project will be implemented within two years and cost more than SR 15 million.
The minister expressed appreciation to the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for supporting the project, which he said would be allocated 4,000 square meters of land in Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter.
The built-up area of the project is 2,823 square meters and will be implemented as part of the Ministry of Culture and Information’s budget, he said.
The project will include a TV and radio training center equipped with the latest equipment, a lecture hall, a documentation and data center, a program exchange center and the general secretariat for the Gulf TV and Radio Festival.
