In a move to further boost domestic tourism, a young Saudi man developed a website that enables online reservation at hotels or furnished apartments anywhere in the Kingdom without paying any service charges. The site was registered with Badir for Biotechnology, the Kingdom’s first technology incubator established at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).
Suleiman Al-Muqrin, who developed the site (www.hjzcom.com), said that booking through the site will help the customer get a lower price than if he were to make a direct contact with the hotel. The customer can browse the site to know what types of facilities are available at the hotels and apartments as well as to get information about the attractive packages and offers. “Booking through the site offers lowest prices. Through our customers’ loyalty program we provide up to 10% cash back,” he said while adding that customers can save up to 30 percent of the booking amount through the scheme of program points. Customers can have booking confirmation without using credit card. They can pay the amount through ATM card by transferring the money to an account number sent to the customer through SMS.
