IBS, Saliheen, Hyderabad Green win in Jotun Cup

IBS, Hyderabad Green and Saliheen notched contrasting wins in the third week matches of the Jotun league sponsored by Jotun Paints and organized by JCA.
While IBS narrowly beat Pak Young by 13 runs, Saliheen routed Stallions by 197 runs and Hyderabad Green scored a comfortable six-wicket win over Butt Sports.
IBS batting first reached 179 for 7 in the allotted overs. Waris led with a solid knock of 65 while getting good support from Shoaib 32 and Ali 24. Fazal Khatak picked up 3 for 24 while Shah, Ahsan and Afridi claimed a wicket each. In reply Pak Young fought back well but ended at 166 with Fazal fighting a lone battle for his unbeaten 62. Assad Nabi contributed 22. Nasir 2 for 21 and Qaisar 2 for 27 impressed with their bowling.
In the other match, Saliheen batted first and posted 304 runs. Thanks to a brilliant 104 runs from the blade of Hameed Gul who flogged the Stallion bowlers all over hitting 7 sixes and 7 fours. Giving him company was Faisal Khan who scored 63, Sabir 34, and Umar 40. Usman 2 for 43 and Sohail 2 for 38 bowled well. In reply Stallions were bundled out for 107. Fawad (20), Ahsan (25) offered some resistance while others caved to some accurate bowling by Faisal (2 for 12), Tabassum (2 for 6) and Azhar (2 for 15).
Elsewhere, Butt Sports batted first and put up 190 for 6. Tariq (52), Zeeshan (45) and Ejaz (32) were amongst the runs. Adeel (3 for 39) and Abdullah (2 for 24) bowled well to share the spoils. In reply Hyderabad Green comfortably reached the target of 191 for 4. Zameer (39), Waseem (57) and Junaid (66) were the main run getters. Umar, Atif, Javed and Junaid shared the 4 wickets that fell.
