IISJAA organizes carnival for women and children

Music, games, contests, acts and lots of other fun activities marked the Ladies and Kids Carnival organized by the International Indian School Jeddah Alumni Association (IISJAA) at the Indian Consulate.
More than 500 ex-students, women and other Indian community members enjoyed the fair at the carnival.
There were stalls set up by various members of the community, including food booths, a parlor, clothes boutiques, jewelry stalls, art displays and displays of goods by various companies.
Scintillating performances from the ex-students who danced to famous Indian songs enthralled the crowd. The highlight of the evening was a flash mob act by the group. Their mesmerizing dance steps were so much in sync that the crowd too joined in the dance and sustained the tempo.
Other highlights of the event included the play area for the kids that was created by putting together gigantic inflatable slides and a basketball ring. Kids were also involved in coloring, lemon and spoon and potato gathering races.
There was a quiz session as well for those who attended and the winners were given prizes. A special quiz contest was held for mothers and kids.
There was a raffle draw with prizes donated by LG, Shareefa Collections, and Mushir Alam Perfumeries. Amanaz Collections donated a couple of jewelry items to be auctioned and the money collected was donated to charity. A substantial amount was collected from the sales of raffle draw tickets.
The proceeds have been donated to IISJ funds for needy students. Qausar Kidwai, wife of Indian Consul General, was the chief guest. Shakeel Ahmad, wife of the commercial consul, was the guest of honor and dignitaries from the Indian school and the Indian Consulate attended too.
