INDEX KSA, described as the inaugural Saudi Arabian edition of the region's largest interiors and design exhibition, opened its doors at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events yesterday. Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Secretary General Adnan Mandora inaugurated the show, platform to connect interiors brands, innovative manufacturers and design industry professionals. The event will run until today from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Claimed to be the first event of its kind in the region, INDEX KSA brings to the Kingdom an impressive array of international design brands and manufacturers from around the world. Organized by MICE Arabia Exhibitions and Conferences Co. in association with dmg :: events, the show is held with the support of JCCI President Saleh Kamel.
"The interior design market in the Kingdom and elsewhere in the region is growing and there are incredible opportunities for companies and for interior design professionals; INDEX KSA is the perfect place for them to interact and start new business relationships," said Jaafar Shubber, INDEX KSA 2012 project manager. "We have received an incredible response from the exhibitors and the visitors today. With this kind of feedback we would envisage that the Saudi Arabian edition of INDEX will replicate the success of the flagship UAE event and become an annual appointment in the region's events calendar."
INDEX KSA features products across six different sectors: Furniture, interiors, kitchen and bathroom, lighting, outdoors living and textiles. Over three days, the event will showcase products and projects of some of the regional and global design industry's top players, including Al Mutlaq Furniture, Amber Gallery, Coleccion Alexandra, Dieffebi, Epoca, Fayek Furniture, Fine Art Lamps, Meuble El Chark, Roca, and Terzani.
