The Embassy of India, Riyadh, will hold an “Open House” for the members of the Indian community residing in the Kingdom on Thursday in the embassy premises from 10 a.m. to noon.
Members of the community can meet Indian Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao and other embassy officials to discuss their problems and seek solutions tranging from consular affairs to labor issues and many other community concerns.
“All interested members of the Indian community are invited to attend the Open House,” said Surinder Bhagat, a spokesman of the Indian embassy, here yesterday.
For those whose applications related to passport renewal and attestation are pending at the embassy or have problems dealing with such matters, may directly come to the embassy to raise their grievances at the open house.
All such issues that can be solved by the embassy’s intervention will be taken note of, and will be directed to the concerned officials with an aim to solve the issue either on spot or guide the applicant the right ways to solve the problems as per the regulatory provisions of the host government, said Bhagat.
He said that Manohar Ram, deputy chief of the mission, will also be present at the Open House together with other senior embassy officials.
On the other hand, those Indian workers, who need sort out their issues with their sponsors or whose cases are with the local authorities, they can also participate in the Open House, where they will be guided by the senior officials.
The open house is an initiative of the Indian Ambassador Rao. The first open house was organized earlier this year and allowed workers to meet staff.
