Indians celebrate Saudi National Day

Indian expatriates across the Kingdom organized a variety of programs, including cultural events and blood donation to mark Saudi Arabia’s National Day.
At the International Indian School, Jeddah’s tiny tots from I & II Boys Section presented attractive programs highlighting the Saudi culture, history and heritage.
The IISJ program began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. The school children presented the Arada dance, wearing Saudi traditional dresses, impressing the audience.
IISJ Principal Syed Masood Ahmed commended the students for their excellent performance while highlighting the strong and historical relations between Saudi Arabia and India. Youth India, a cultural organization of Indian expatriates, celebrated National Day in another way, winning the applause of Saudis. It organized a blood donation program in association with King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Mahjar, Jeddah.
“Hospital officials like Dr. Farman in the Renal Department, Dr. Sageer, Dr. Abdullah and Dr. Hani in the Blood Bank provided all facilities to Youth India volunteers,” said KM Abdul Kareem, one of the organizers.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Shajeem by donating his blood. Youth India officials VK Shameem, CH Rashid and Saifuddeen organized the event with the support of ES Abdul Salam and Shihabuddeen
Dr. Sageer commended the humanitarian gesture of Youth India volunteers and hoped it would encourage other people to donate their blood to save the lives of patients.
VM Zafarullah, chief patron of Youth India, emphasized the deep-rooted relations between Saudi Arabia and India, while congratulating the blood donors.
More than two million Indians work in Saudi Arabia.
