After three consecutive days of trading in the green, the Saudi stock market took a reversal yesterday.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) fell down nearly 30 points earlier yesterday, subsequently traveled sideways to end in the red territory at 6,741.93 points. It pared 41.62 points or 0.61 percent for the entire day.
All market cap indices traded in the red zone.
Fourteen out of Tadawul's fifteen sectors witnessed a negative change, dropping an aggregate of 353 points.
Only Media and Publishing sector has been unharmed by the day's trading, showing an increment of 25.76 points or 0.9 percent.
The Insurance switched its position from top performing sector of previous couple of days to the worst performing sector of the day, down 2.27 percent to 1,485.16.
Only Riyad Bank and Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) showed a little positive change among top ten heavyweights, increasing by 0.21 percent and 0.15 percent respectively.
However, SABB was significant decliner, shedding over one percent.
The total number of falling stocks exceeded to the total number of rising stocks by a margin of 109 to 31 and the prices of 15 companies remained unchanged.
Saudi Indian Company for Co-operative Insurance regained its topping position, jumping 9.77 percent for the day.
On the other side of the spectrum, Amana Cooperative Insurance plunged to a maximum of 9.96 percent.
