JDC Red BM Originals of Mahmoud Quidlat beat Sabr Brothers Yellow 80-71 in the JBL Basketball Tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia St., Al Andalus District here. BM Original’s running game was unstoppable in the crucial minutes of the game. Sabr Brothers, playing without legitimate ball handler, committed passing errors.
Jason had 30 points for BM Originals and was adjudged as Giordano Best Player of the game while Jameel Khobre Briant top-scored with 26 points for Sabr Brothers.

ALJ Used Cars of Ronald Uranza defeated Barangay Fame 63-55. ALJ Used Cars capitalized on its tall lineup to defuse the defense of Barangay Fame in the final quarter. Majed and Gani Tabao scored 15 points apiece for ALJ Used Cars and were adjudged as the JBL Best Players of the game while John Ernest Gallano led Barangay Fame with 21 points.
Jeddah Eagles of coach Hassan Zenoudine won against Al Ettifaq 62-32. Al Ettifaq playing with only 8 players cannot contain the run-and-gun offense of Jeddah Eagles. Jamal top-scoref with 13 points for Jeddah Eagles and was adjudged as the Saudi Signs Best Player of the game while Allan Barda chipped in 9 points for Al Ettifaq.
Urban Design Group of Ariel Acedera beat Saudia Aviations 58-52. Urban Design Group cheering squad made the difference in the endgame. UDG playing an inspired game connected their short jumpers despite the defense of towering players of Saudia Aviation. Ricky Reloj top-scored with 22 points for UDG and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Flora scored 12 points for Saudia Aviation.
Thursday, Uptown 966 of Halim Mezher defeated Jeddah Eagles 59-52. Uptown 966 managed to halt the running game Eagles in the fourth quarter. Rafael Saldua faced man-to-man guarding in the whole game but managed to top-score with 19 points for Uptown 966 and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Jamal had 18 points for Jeddah Eagles.
Awdah of Rey Magat beat Al Khereiji 81-74. Awdah showed heart in the endgame as Al Khereji Knights repeatedly tried to get back to the driver’s seat. Elmer Sanchez had 30 points for Awdah and was adjudged as the Arab News Best Player of the game while Marcelino and Zambale scored 13 points apiece for Al Khereji Knights.
ALJ Central Purchasing of Noel Sun defeated SBG Sparks 71-66. Central Purchasing’s defense was effective in the final quarter as SBG Sparks committed a string of turnovers. Montano Dela Cruz led ALJ Central Purchasing with 14 points and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Jesril Durano had 25 points for SBG Sparks.
Toyota Sequoia of Jimmy Abdullah Beltran beat NCB Quick Pay 80-40. Toyota Sequoia caught NCB Quick Pay in its off night to score back-to-back winw. Fuentes scored 11 points for Toyota Sequoia and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Balaa contributed 13 points for NCB Quick Pay.
