Jeddah Lanes team scores double in Faris Trading League

Host team Jeddah Lanes delivered a strong performance and romped off with the Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double during the seventh session in the Faris Trading Monday Night Bowling League 16th Season at Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.
Jeddah Lanes’ tally of 38 points is only two shy of the perfect 40 as the best team on the night leapt four places to second in the team standings.
Sarawat D’ Barkads had an off night after an outstanding display just the week before and, as a result, finished on 9 points to slip to fourth from first place.
Taking over the lead after seven weeks was Taurus RDLR, which pooled 25 points, while Brothers 4 Ever enjoyed a second-best result for the second consecutive week on 33 points with MC Hammer on 32.
Jem Strikers pooled 23 points. Farisbowling.com returned 21 points in sixth place on the day. Bounganville made 19 points, Mottawer Engineering had 13 and Cee Bee Aviation brought up the rear on 7 points.
Andy Yumena ended the Amro Al-Amri’s three-week reign as Bowler of the Week when he rolled the high series and tournament best so far of 808.
Yumena shot games of 277, 256 and 257 to lead the hosts’ onslaught.
Jeddah Lanes topped the first two games and overall output and could have posted a perfect 40 had MC Hammer and Brothers not interfered in the third game where MC and Brothers tallied 10 and 9 points to Jeddah Lanes’ 8.
Carlos Constantino and Nonie Yap had solid rounds of 611 and 608 in support of Yumena with Ladio Gonzales the fourth bowler to go the distance on 598. Mao Orolfo added 212-187 and Rene Martinez 180.
The trio of Feras Abufaraj, Khalid Tailoni and Mohammad Garout fired 639, 636 and 609 at the helm of Brothers who received 529 from Saleh Fayez, 201-265 from Saleh Sugate and 205 fro Osama Fatani.
There were four players that completed three games at MC Hammer namely Jay Bengco 639, Zaldy Bacero 631, Randy Mata 616 and June Estefano 605. Sharing the remaining three games were Robert Bato 171-168 and Ed Sardiña 216.
For Taurus the duo of Larry Santos and Obie Ycasas had the top scores of 619 and 606 that went with the 560 by James Galvan, 180-197 by Edwin Ronquillo, 182-219 by Raul delos Reyes and 246-182 by Nap Patayan.
