Munawar, Salman Butt, Rizwan Qayyum, Gulam Fareed hit centuries in the Premier Division Al-Turki Cricket League, organized by the Eastern Province Cricket Association.
A fine 132 by Munawar helped Kanoo rout Al-Gamdi by 123 runs. He was supported by Naheed (41) and Waqas (39). Batting first the winners put up 350 on board. Iftikhar and Raheel picked up 2 wickets each.
In reply Al-Gamdi managed 226 runs, Salman Butt staged a lone battle and top-scored with 127 runs. Adil took 3 for 24.
SST Blue scored a comfortable 199-run win over MR KGC after they scored a total of 295. Irfan Farooqi was the highest scorer with 61 runs. MR KGC were bowled out for 95 runs. Nasir Khan went through the rival batting lineup and took 5 for 31.
In another one-sided encounter, Aims Bin Delamah made short work of Team Abbasi by 111 runs. Batting first Delamah put on board 342 runs with Tapas and Waseem scoring 85 and 94 runs respectively.
Team Abbasi were bowled out for 231 runs. Mazher (70) was the only batsman who put up some resistance. Jafar Sadiq took 3 for 41.
In the last match, Al-Tuwarqi got the better of TFT by 32 runs. Al-Tuwarqi Whites batting first made 302. Rizwan Qayyum played a captains knock and scored 109 runs. He later excelled with the ball and claimed six wickets. In reply TFT scored 270 runs. Bilal Shah top-scored with 71.
In the First Division matches, Khobar Badshahs beat DHL by 89 runs. Khobar Badshahs batting first made 334 runs. In reply DHL could only manage 245 runs. Badar (83) and Zain (85) were the top run getters. Daniyal and Waqqas took 2 wickets each. Mahboob scored 133 runs for DHL.
Harley Davidson were victorious against Team Arabia by 32 runs. Batting first HDCC made 295. Adarsh (131) and Tajamal (110) slammed tons.
In reply Team Arabia could reach 263 runs. Anoop John scored 76 runs. The match between Gyptech Dolphins C.C and Bin Delmah Adapco ended in a tie. Batting first Bin Delmah scored 295 runs. Nabeel Butt scored 96.
In reply G. Dolphins scored the same number of runs. Fahad (49) and Abdullah (41) did their best. Sadiq took 5 wickets while Hamza got 4.
Asia XI scored a comfortable 50-run win over Ashes. Asia batting first scored 262 runs. Ghulam Fareed made 160 off 90 balls.
Ashes in reply scored 212 runs. Shiehab performed with bat and ball as he scored 55 runs and took 5 wickets. Mohd. Ali took 3 wickets.
In another match of the same division, Imran Tigers Academy beat Age Steel ITL Young Guns.
Batting first ITA scored 280 runs. Age Steel ITL young guns were bowled out for 170, with Kashif Arshad having scored (63) and Farhan (60). Asif Khan took 5 wickets.
Pak. Saudi emerged victorious while chasing a small total of 172 posted by Ei Plus. Saleem made 81 runs for Ei Plus. Pak Saudi achieved their target off 22 overs. Captain Asif scored 79 runs and took 2 wickets. Nasir bagged 3.
Al Fattah friends XI beat Deccan challengers by 3 wickets. Asif played a captain’s innings. He scored 96 runs, took 4 wickets and contributed to 2 run outs.
Al-Tuwarqi Green beat Young Star by 130 runs. Malik Tanveer made 89 runs whereas Shabaz Yousuf took 3 wickets to ensure victory for his team.
