Karnataka Rajyotsava Day celebrated in Jeddah

Expatriates from the Southern state of India, Karnataka, celebrated the 57th anniversary of their state formation as Rajyotsava day in Jeddah at the Indian Consulate premises. Pranav Ganesh, Consul (Consular) in the Indian Consulate, graced the function of Karnataka NRI Forum as a chief guest and Vishwanath Hegde, chief patron of the forum, attended the program as a guest of honor.
Mohammed Mansour, President of the forum, gave a welcome speech and requested all the Kannadigas to come forward to provide a helping hand to the poor of Karnataka. The profile presentation of Karnataka NRI Forum was delivered by Vasu Manchegowda, General Secretary of the forum in which he explained the aims, objectives, future plans and highlighted the achievements of the forum since its establishment.
Pranav appreciated the social activities of Karnataka residents towards their state community here in Saudi Arabia and in India. The celebrations also featured a variety of cultural programs. Children enjoyed the games organized by the forum while other audience enjoyed the mute play, dance performances by school students and all-time favorite Kannada and Hindi songs sung by Kaleem, Saif and Ms.Rehana.
Quiz competition by Niyaz, dances choreographed by Roshan and Sabu Chandran received an enthusiastic response from the audience. The revised website, www.knriforumjeddah.com was launched during the function which was designed by Alok Pattar.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Nasir Khursheed and the national anthem.
