DAMMAM: The King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) will soon have a new aircraft refueling station.
Speaking to journalists over the weekend, KFIA Director General Khalid Al-Muzail said: “Work is progressing to launch the new fuel station at the airport. This new station is part of our efforts to provide the best services at the airport in view of the increasing traffic.”
According to Al-Muzail, a new hotel is also coming up at the airport. “We are in the process of implementing a number of development projects, including a new hotel to accommodate passengers. The hotel project may be complete in about 18 to 24 months,” he said.
Al-Muzail said in view of the long distance between the airport and the Dammam city center, the hotel will meet the needs of all passengers and visitors.
“We really care for passenger needs and welcome comments and suggestions from all those who can contribute to enhancing services at the airport,” he said.
“The media is generally considered the third eye for the officials. We are reading what has been written in the media and we are working to improve facilities at the airport,” said Al-Muzail. “We welcome criticism.”
KFIA Public Relations Manager Ahmed Al-Abbasi appreciated the role of the media and urged newsmen to reflect truth in their reports about the airport.
