JEDDAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered the allocation of two lots of land in Jeddah with an area of more than 5.5 million square meters for two major hospital projects.
Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah said one of the lots will be the site of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center and the other for the King Abdullah Medical City along the highway between Makkah and Jeddah.
King Abdullah approved the necessary funds for the establishment of the first phase of the hospital and approved the amounts necessary for the medical city, said Al-Rabiah.
The two projects will be awarded soon to serve the region of Makkah and its neighboring regions in the western sector of the Kingdom, he said.
