Lance & 3RDY made a big move going into the homestretch of eliminations, claiming Team of the Week honors and leaping three places to seventh in the team standings during the 16th session in the FTBJ-ICBL 29th Conference at the Jeddah Lanes here.
Lance & 3RDY pooled the top tally of 48.5 points and became the team with the most number of Team of the Week victories at four.
Saudi Diyar Consultants had the second-best total of 47 points with league leader Safawa Tech-Build on 43 and Geely Cars on 41.5 points.
D’ Barkads Reloaded tallied 35.5 points followed by Symmetry-Genesis 33 and Sky Freight TFC 29.5.
Hidada Contracting Ltd. and Saudia tied on 29 points. Nasser Al Hajri made 20 points, while Muchkilla, Almarai and Al-Bahjah Optical filled the last three places on 19, 14 and 6 points in that order.
The individual Bowler of the Week honors went to Safawa’s Jess Cerbito on the men’s side and Matet Cavite of Symmetry-Genesis on the distaff side. Cerbito and Cavite shot 640 and 613 respectively.
Ric Reformado and Ding Dela Rosa rolled solid series of 623 and 601 at the helm of a Lance charge that also contained 585 from Evelyn Santoc and 514 from Cheryl Tibay. Jhun Estefano added 219-185 and Ed Sardina had 192.
Lady bowler Cora Aguas at 597 and Fatima Jintarat at 572 surprisingly led Saudi Diyar. Nestor Casalma was the only bowler from the men’s side at Diyar to roll full games at 553, while Nap Paayan, Raul elos Reyes and Epoy Sants each contributed two games of 194-231, 181-180 and 201-170. Safawa, which, barring a major disaster, is set to finish on top of the team standings had Zaldy Bacero backing up Cerbito on 608. Gail Mata and Bheng Cerbito tossed in 524 and 513, while Pancho Cuevas compiled 197-209 and Cesar Monares 205.
Geely Cars, still in search of a breakthrough Team of the Week victory, used a single set of five players led by Archie Santos on 603. Rudy Valenzuela came through with 587 to go with the 585 by Aisa Silabay, 577 by Alex Flora and 532 by Nurissa Ramos. Showing the way at D’ Barkads were Dan Ednave 595 and Marlon Heredia 594.
Rod Morales was the main man at Sky Freight on 588 with Goying Salazar on 576, Babes Tiongson on 573 and Imelda Sayayo on 465.
Oca Bernabe added 220-224 and previous week’s Bowler of the Week Rene Santiago had 190.
