This is with reference to the article “The complex puzzle of Iraq” (May 23) by Osman Mirghani. I believe that confusing the situation in Iraq is the main goal of the United States. Following the unlawful and unjustified invasion of Iraq, the US took the first step toward the disintegration of Iraq by empowering Shiites and marginalizing Sunnis. If we study all the steps taken by the US “liberators” in the post-Saddam era, it would dawn on us that whatever is currently happening in Iraq is basically going according to the plan.
These plans could be foiled if the Saudi Arabia-led coalition continue with its actions in Yemen and move ahead toward Syria and then Iraq without losing steam. All the Muslim across the world are looking toward this coalition, which has emerged as a ray of hope in these days of doom and gloom.
