The Al Khozama Management Company (Al Khozama) has announced the signing of an agreement with Al Rawabi Regional Company, Hotels Resorts & Spa to manage the first luxury Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa, a Rosewood Resort, in the Kingdom.
Prince Bandar bin Saud bin Khalid, Al Khozama Management Company chairman, made the announcement in a press conference yesterday in Riyadh in the presence of Hamza Al Arras, Al Rawabi Regional Co. CEO.
“Al Khozama has been redefining the hotel program and service standards of the Kingdom’s hospitality industry, contributing substantially to the initiatives of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA),” Prince Bandar said.
Al-Khozama is a leading luxury commercial property development, investment and management company in Saudi Arabia while Al Rawabi Regional Co. was established a year ago, with Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa a flagship property for the company.
Prince Bandar said that by assuming management of the resort hotel, Al Khozama “will be extending its renowned hospitality to a new destination and enabling guests to enjoy its unrivaled levels of service and attention to detail.” He added that “We are delighted to be partnering with Al Rawabi Regional Company on this prestigious project.”
Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2013, Al Faisalia Resort & Spa is located in Durrat Arriyadh, Saudi Arabia’s first gated residential neighborhood north of Riyadh.
The premium hotel resort, to be managed by Al Faisaliah Hotel through Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, comprises 153 rooms and suites and features four private swimming pools for the convenience of families on two guestroom floors, a banquet hall to accommodate 1,500 persons, 10 lavishly appointed villas and three signature indoor and outdoor restaurants. The hotel is also home to the largest luxury spa in the Kingdom.
For his part, Al Attas said, “An ultra-luxury resort requires exceptional management to be able to deliver the best services and guest offering. There is no doubt that Al Khozama is a clear leader in this regard and we are proud and privileged to be working together on Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa.”
International premium boutique hotel operator Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has a long and loyal association with Al Khozama, having managed Al Faisaliah Hotel for 12 years and Hotel Al Khozama for more than 17 years. This latest partnership provides additional regional exposure for the Rosewood brand.
Radha Arora, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts president, said, “Together with our long-term partner, Al Khozama, we are delighted to be extending our management portfolio to new destinations. Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa offers a new and exciting opportunity for both Rosewood and Al Khozama to extend their collective expertise into a resort and spa offering that transcends what is currently available in the market today. We have no doubt that Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa is destined to become one of the most desirable destinations in the Kingdom.”
Al Khozama’s ambitious expansion plans for its hotel management portfolio also include a four-star deluxe hotel located north of Jeddah, and the five-star Al Faisaliah Hotel in Madinah, scheduled to open in the second half of 2013.
“This year has certainly been one of considerable highlights for Al Khozama, and I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate the team for their commitment and dedication to the core values of our business and brand, which has been demonstrated in the 13 regional and international awards received by Al Khozama in 2012 alone,” Prince Bandar said.
He added that “the opening of new properties such as Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa, along with a number of others, gives us the opportunity to continue delivering the level of customer service for which we have been recognized,” he added.
Al Khozama Management Company owns the Al Faisaliah Hotel, Al Faisaliah Suites and Hotel Al Khozama in Riyadh, and manages Al Shohada Hotel in Makkah, Hotel Al Khozama in Madinah and Al Faisaliah Hotel also in Madinah.
