Movenpick Hotel Alkhobar is flying in expert Moroccan chefs and a tea-master from premier restaurants in Marrakesh to the locally-renowned "The Blue" restaurant, where they will be serving popular Moroccan dishes and tea. It is all part of the 10-day Moroccan festival that is being organized by the well-known hotel from Dec. 5-14 daily from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
"A special Moroccan Bazaar atmosphere will be created at the venue featuring handicrafts and traditional specialties," said Sanjeev Tandon, director of sales and marketing. "The event offers an opportunity for guests to taste a host of Moroccan delicacies and share recipes with the expert chefs and tea-master."
Featuring Moroccan meatballs 'Kefta' Tajine, Harira soup, Couscous, Moroccan rice preparations, special salads and Moroccan flatbread 'Khobz', the event presents a unique opportunity to sample some authentic cuisine.
Among the event sponsors are Turkish Airlines which is flying in the master-chefs all the way from Morocco.
Also present are 'Corner of Morocco Treasures', a boutique offering visitors the chance to purchase traditional Moroccan crafts and artifacts ranging from beautiful teacups, teapots and souvenirs plus other traditional items from a real Moroccan Bazaar.
