Saudi National Carrier nasair won the award for Best Social Media Engagement for a Company, which was announced at the 3rd Arab Social Media Forum in Amman, Jordan recently.
The forum was opened by Malik Shishtawi, with the support of Samih Maaytah, minister of state for media affairs and communications and minister of culture, Jordan. A number of key international figures and specialists in social media participated in the event and more than 200 social media enthusiasts attended the forum.
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube were the main highlight of discussion while covering other social media platforms.
This award was given on the basis of engagement nasair has with its fans during the year 2012. Nasair Facebook page is one of the fastest moving brands in Saudi Arabia and MENA region. Currently nasair Facebook page has nearly 700,000 fans.
Francois Bouteiller said that nasair was always connected with its customers wherever they were by using the new technologies that made the communication much easy. Facebook has a very high number of users, which made it necessary for nasair to keep an effective presence.
