NCB recently distributed more than 31,000 school bags among orphans in the Kingdom to coincide with the start of the new academic year,
The bank implemented the program for the seventh consecutive year.
Orphans from 41 cities and villages in various regions benefited from the program that was carried out in cooperation with 45 charitable organizations, according to a bank statement.
Mansour Al-Maiman, chairman of the bank’s board of directors, launched the program by distributing bags to a group of orphan students during a function at the NCB headquarters in Jeddah, the press release said.
Al-Maiman emphasized his bank’s commitment to support various needy groups of society.
A total of 147,595 orphans have benefited from the school bag program since it was introduced in 2006. The orphans, who benefited from the program, are registered with the various charitable organizations.
