Saudi Electricity Company has embarked on an SR 1.68 billion project to link Qaisuma and Hafr Al-Baten as well as Al-Jouf and Arar, according to Ali Al-Barrak, CEO of the company.
“Efforts are underway to link Qaisuma and Hafr Al-Baten with 380KV network at a cost of SR 770 million,” he said, adding that the project would be implemented by March 2013.
He said the project to link Al-Jouf with Arar would cost SR 918 million and completed by April 2013. More than 3,500 megawatt has been added to the Kingdom’s electricity power network during the past few months.
