New scholars add to the prestige of PMU

Seventy new faculty members from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and France are to join Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University (PMU) during the new academic session.
“PMU maintains its commitment to impart quality education to students through their interaction with the best of subject experts representing diverse academic and cultural backgrounds,” said Rector Issa Al-Ansari.
With the new additions, comprising 42 men and 28 women faculty members, PMU will now have scholars from 32 countries. All new faculty members will take part in orientation programs prior to their active participation in academic schedules.
The new faculty members are slated to join PMU’s colleges of business, engineering, computer engineering & sciences, arts & sciences and the preparatory program.
“Newly recruited faculty members represent variegated specialties and disciplines to teach in all PMU Colleges,” said Iyad Maher Bader, director of international recruitment & faculty affairs. PMU took strategic steps to recruit such a large number of faculty members by considering the well-planned academic expansion of the university in the near future.
A panel of consultants and academics was involved to complete the whole recruitment exercise.
This team rigorously studied the multiple factors to short-list academics to join the university’s growing faculty team.
PMU has a unique mechanism and applies the latest teaching tools to impart quality education.
All new faculty members will attend workshops besides reviewing the university curricula before their involvement in the study programs.
PMU maintains the academic accreditation standards through inviting competent and highly scholastic faculty members to join it.
The university has been enrolling students from various parts of the country.
Large chunks of international students from the GCC countries and those from the expatriate communities are enrolled at the university for higher education.
