Haia field members will attend English language courses to make it easier for them to communicate with foreigners visiting the Kingdom, said Abdul Latif Al-Shiekh, president of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
The plan to develop the skills of field members includes a number of obligatory courses, said the Haia president. “This will ensure improving their performance levels, activating the mission and role of the commission and limiting erroneous interpretations, in compliance with the Cabinet’s decision to organize the General Presidency of the commission,” added Al-Shiekh.
He said the training courses for field members would be prepared with the utmost care, as this would reflect the important role and work of the commission, and its prestigious status.
“A great responsibility falls on the shoulder of those charged with this mission so their performance must be of the highest level in compliance with the approach of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Like him, we should treat people in a good, fair and wise manner,” said Al-Shiekh during a meeting with the heads of departments of the Haia.
He said the Haia conducts all its work in line with regulations and laws that control its direction.
He said 571 training programs have been launched recently. “These include more than 14,000 classes in various legislative, regulative and behavioral aspects for more than 6,700 trainees who work in the administration and the field,” he said. In addition, other training programs are being conducted in collaboration with government agencies, universities and other bodies.
