Representatives of more than 250 charities in Riyadh and adjacent regions had been invited to meet today in a symposium to introduce the first Al Subai Award for Outstanding Charity Practice.
The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It will focus on the award’s criteria that cover institutions’ and individuals’ social, relief, educational and dawa practices and outstanding innovative ideas.
The role of the concepts of quality and institutional work in improving charitable work will also be covered. Muhammad and Abdullah Ibrahim Al Subai Charitable Foundation launched the award under the auspices of Minister of Social Affairs Yusif bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen.
Executive supervisor of the award and head of the Saudi Quality Council in the Western Region, Ayed bin Tali Al-Amri, said the symposium will be followed by other similar introductory events explaining fields of the award and methods followed to evaluate applicants’ establishments, projects and ideas.
