This is in response to the column “Do Muslims really understand Islam” by Abdulateef Al-Mulhim. It is an excellent article. The day Muslims understand that their condition in this world is a result of their own deeds and actions, that day will be the start of their rise.
Isn’t it a bit surprising to consider the fact that this very same religion uplifted the Muslims 14 centuries ago, when they were few in number amid their bitter enemies and treated like slaves? Then how come, today, the followers of the same religion are not even recognized despite their ever-increasing number?
The answer lies in the “implementation” of religion.
Back then the Muslims were sincere followers of the rules stated in Islam, but now days the concept of “namesake Muslims” is prevailing. —
