Saudi Ericsson’s Syed Aftabuddin scored a quick-fire 184 runs off 45 balls to get the better of Riyadh Warriors in the PCL Titan Cup cricket tournament organized by the PCL Committee Riyadh recently.
Aftab’s heroic knock included 22 sixes in reply to Riyadh Warriors’ 239, which came off 14 overs.
The highlight of the match was 6 sixes in an over, which created a record in the Titan’s Cup.
Shabbir Ali bagged 4 for 39. Khaja Moinuddin also gave a fine all-round performance.
Aftab scored 3 centuries in the tournament, making him the highest scorer with 454 runs from 6 matches at an average of 90 and a strike rate of 250.
Another highlight was Aftab’s fastest ton, which came off 25 balls that helped his team score a 100-run win over Sabic Strikers.
Ericsson’s Sajid Abbasi also enjoyed a fine all-round display after he scored 61 runs and later took 3 wickets.
Fayyaz also dazzled with the bat and scored 75 runs off 22 balls.
Saudi Ericsson is now one of the finest teams of Riyadh in tape ball cricket led by Amir S, Quadri. Other members of the team include: Khaja Mahmoud, Kashif S Quadri, Mojiz Zakir, Farhat Jaleel, Faizan Ali and Rizwan Mulla.
