A voluntary team of 10 young men at Jubail Industrial City is in the process of producing social short films that aim to address several issues of society, and the negative effects of bad behavior among youths to help improve Saudi society.
“We are the hope of this nation, that is why these films are targeting our youth to solve out some of the problems our community is facing. I am producing the films myself and post them on social networking sites,” Abdulaziz Al-Dhwaih, founder of Box Team, told a local newspaper.
He said that his team is receiving support from the Royal Commission and the Islamic Youth International Symposium.
“Currently we are participating in Jubail Spring festival,” he said. “Our hope as a team is to continue this project despite the shortfall of funding, so as our message spreads out and positively affects society for the better, preserving our traditions and values.”
Box Team was founded two months ago and will launch six social films soon.
