ALJ scores championship double, GCT and Compass champs in OFBL 2nd Conference

The OFBL 2nd Conference Evening Divisions successfully concluded recently, producing double championship for the ALJ outfit after Toyota ALJ and ALJ Hospital clinched the championship crowns in Inter-Company B and Inter-Hospital respectively. GCT Batang Pier retained its title in Inter-Company Bona fide A while Compass Ocean Logistics captured its first championship in OFBL-organized tournaments by winning the Inter-Commercial Division.
In the awarding ceremony at OFBL’s home court in Timeout Sports Academy on Television St., Ghulail District on the outskirts of Jeddah the winning teams received their trophies and cash & gift prizes together with the runner-up teams. Plaques of recognition were given to individuals for their exceptional performance during the season.
Also during the ceremony, Chairman Salvador Boy Teves and Commissioner Rocky Gil extended their appreciation for the full support from all participants in the last conference. They commend the teams and players for the sportsmanship shown in the duration of the tournament, as it ended peacefully.
They assured, in behalf of the OFBL Committee, that their group is committed to continuously provide friendly, fun and exciting games to come.
More plans to further improve the league are afoot, according to the two OFBL leaders who announced the OFBL 3rd Conference Evening Division with 5 categories namely Inter-Company Reinforced, Inter-Company Non-Rated, Company Bonafide, 5’6” Below and Above 40 Divisions is set to open third week of April.
The OFBL tournament is sponsored by Art’s Cuisine, Al Zugbi Tailoring, Amaia Land, Pinoy Photographers Club and Timeout.
