Dentistry students of Batterjee Medical College (BMC) participated in the Gulf week for the health of mouth and teeth, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Health.
They created many educational and awareness programs about the health of mouth and teeth.
Hassan Shaibah, vice dean of academic affairs, noted that such participation stems from the college’s wish to support and advance awareness among the general public. Students of the college regularly visit schools and various charity organizations to raise awareness and educate people. “This is a contribution from the students toward the community,” said Shaibah.
Khalid Batterjee said that the college is constantly working on upgrading cooperation with all health sectors to establish a social partnership, getting the students to appreciate volunteer work.
Students are expected to participate effectively in serving the community. Their participation plays a vital role in filling in the numbers of doctors in the Kingdom, and in increasing their educational skills.
