The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) continued its upward march, marking another gain of 0.42 percent yesterday.
The index moved into the green territory earlier yesterday and closed higher to 7,190.31, adding 29.79 points or 0.42 percent for the entire session. While curving in the upward territory throughout the day it rose to a maximum gain of 37.4 points.
All market cap indices showed a positive change for the day.
Sectoral performance was also positive, as ten out of Tadawul's 15 sectors finished to the upside, accumulating an aggregate of nearly 1,046 points.
Hotel & Tourism outdid rest of the sectors, surging over 500 points or 4.5 percent to close at 11,859.40. Media and Publishing sector also continued its positive movement, advancing 3.96 percent further and closing at 3,610.78.
Tourism Enterprise Co. and Tihama Advertising & Public Relations Co. were major gainers in these sectors, achieving a daily growth of 9.9 percent.
Most of heavyweights extended gains, with SABB rising by 2.08 percent and Al-Rajhi Bank 0.76 percent.
The market breadth was strong for the day as 78 stocks witnessing advances and other 57 stocks marking a decline.
Share price of Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co. rallied to a maximum growth of 10 percent, clinching the spot as top gainer amongst Saudi stocks.
Market activity was high, specifically SR8.1 billion were poured into the market. Trading volume was impressive, with about 250.6 million shares changed hands in the market, a significant 7.3 percent growth over the previous level. The 50-day average for trading volume is closer to 206.3 million shares.
National Medical Care Company topped the liquidity chart, contributing SR 957.4 million and capturing 11.8 percent of Tadawul’s total value. It also bucked the 12-day downward trend yesterday and turned green with solid gains, soaring up 9.96 percent and ranking second.
