‘Iron Lady’ is no more

I am sure that there are many who will disagree but the “Iron Lady,” Margret Thatcher, was a prime minister who stood firm on her conviction and pulled the UK back from the brink, following Labour’s mismanagement of the economy in the 1970s. She was Britain’s only woman prime minister.
Once, I recall, addressing a large crowd she said: “Media frequently uses the catch phrase ‘U-turn,’ I like to tell them, if you want you can turn but the lady is not for turning.” One of her famous quotes was “If you just set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.”
Lady Thatcher will be remembered by all those, who liked her as well as those who did not. — S.H. Moulana, Riyadh
