Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hossein, minister of water and electricity, recently signed 25 contracts worth more than SR 395 million for the implementation of projects in the fields of water and sanitation in various regions across the Kingdom.
The projects involve the construction of water reservoirs, pipelines, water and sanitation networks and stations, a local newspaper reported.
The first contract entails the operation and maintenance of a water and sanitation project in Dammam at the cost of SR 75.7 million for three years, a water tank project in Albadai district of Abha, worth SR 56 million to be implemented over 30 months, and a project to replace water networks in Afif, Riyadh region, at a cost of SR 51 million and to be completed in 36 months.
