Eraserheads, Pingol delight in Almarai bowlfest

Five-time defending champion Eraserheads mentored by Armin Isles grabbed the Team of the Week award by defeating Alsalam Knights 25-11 while Ruel Pingol of Sebo Boys claimed the Bowler of the Week accolade during the 23rd session in the Almarai-FBGR Saturday Bowling League at Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
In a big night for Eraserheads the team drew inspired performances from Joe Garrido, 876, Fernie Ballano 874, Ronald Bautista 873, Edwin Atienza 834 and Armin Isles 821 points. Losing team Alsalam Knights had Rollie Cleofe on 901, Bandar Al-Marshad 837, Alfred Valencia 781 while Jess Vidal rolled 564 in three games, Lito Vega 457 and Mario Rivera 344.
Pingol flashed his deadly form to shoot the high series of 934 on games of 230, 251, 230 and 223, but Pingol’s singularly impressive was not enough to save Sebo Boys mentored by Koko Torres from a 19-11 defeat by Proshop Strikers. The other scorers at Sebo were Ronald Cruz 798, Angel Caasi 773, Reiner Torres 726 and Sam Alinsod 693.
The winning team anchored by promising young lady bowler Nina De Vera with 873, also had Manny Lebrilla on 850, Ric Urrutia Jr. 794, Vic Barrazona 758, Rodel Molina 620 and Ruby Urrutia 178.
Nadec Strokers mentored by Lope Ramirez defeated SABB Tenpin Wizards of Allan Ofreneo 17-12. Leading scorers were ace Jove Marano 860, Ruben Babasa 846 and Atoi Ramos 803. Jojo Paciano added 690, Lope Ramirez 659 and Reynald Medina 179. For the losing team the notable scorers were Ric Singson 865, Resty De Jesus 827, Marvin Arocena 809 and Ian Choco 800.
In another match, Alinma Bank mentored by Abdulrahman Ahmed edged Carry Over of Lulu Quejada 17-14. Ahmed top-scored at Alinma with 904 and got a good support from Jojo De Silva 801, Farred Aquino 716 and Jess Ambon 655.
Elsewhere, Kapit-Bisig mentored by Clem Ojeda beat Exodus of Benny Mondoy 17-15, Almarai Co. of Emerson Mitra walloped Expendibles of Hani Al-Nasleh 20-6, while RG512 for Clothes mentored by Yasser Mohamed won by default Alfanar Precast 22-0.
